   i started shopping and registering the day i found out what the sex was. make sure you buy appropriate clothes for what the weather is going to be like.

   After your third month, you should be ok to start buying things. If your anything like me, that would be really hard to wait…but its better that way! Congrats!

   I’ve answered this question before, so I guess I’ll say the same thing. You can buy them at any time, especially now with all the garage sales. That will save you tons. However, if you want new stuff, there is always new cute styles, new safety standards, new stuff. I would wait until much closer to your due date, since seasonal is also an issue.

   I’m told most folks need to order their crib 12-14 weeks beforehand, so check on that.

   You should wait until you know what you are having to buy alot of stuff. You could be looking for things now and if you find a good sale go ahead and buy it, but it is probably too early to buy much. You should have a crib and big stuff by the 7th month just in case the baby comes early, and you won’t feel as much like shopping when you get closer to 9 months.

   no, seriously, start buying as soon as you find out what it is and especially when they go on sale or clearance for a good price.
   You can buy all the summer clothes at clearance and then guess about how old and what size your baby will be in next summer . it will save you a lot of money doing it that way.

   After I found out the sex of the baby. I was around 4 months. But I would suggest buying clothes at around 7 months.

   you can start anytime, but, just make sure u have everything u’ll need at about 7 months be cause from that time anything can happen…congrats…

   wait until after the first trimester then you can buy a few but buy 3 to 6 months at first or the sleeping gown bag things because i bought newborn and had no clothes for my son he came home from the hospital in a newborn outfit with the snaps undone in the crotch cuz he was too big he was in 3 to 6 month clothes right away. and lots of my friends had the same thing happen.
   he was 9 lbs 5 ounces and 22.75 inches so i had to give away most of the clothes because i had already taken the tags off and washed them so they were all ready for him when we came home.

    Whenever you want but I think it’s better to wait for the clothes that will suit the weather when baby is born. Of course you can buy summer clothes but you have to calculate his due date and then how old he will be when summer comes around next. Also, if you buy too much now you will have spent so much on clothes you won’t want to buy any more later and they always come out with something cuter than the year before. Hope this was helpful.

    To be honest I started getting thisng as soon as I found out she was a girl….and I buy anything that is really nice and on sale up to 2T or 3T. Eventually she is going to wear these clothes so I buy ahead when I have a little extra and when things are already on sale. I did the same thing with our son and he is 2 now and I have never had to scramble at the start of season to be sure he had the right clothes. I just store them in labeled totes and get them out and wash them when he grows into them. Some think it is silly but I know how much easier it has made my life! Good luck to you with your pregnancy! And remember hand me downs are a GREAT thing.

    You’ll just know when the time has come. For me it came after my second ultrasound when I found out I was having a boy. I ran to the nearest mall and picked up my first newborn boy outfit. It was so cute, though he only fit in it once! Word of advice don’t buy too many newborn clothes, you may have a big baby like me and he’ll end up not fitting in them. Congrats on your pregnancy!!!

    I didn’t start buying anything for my son until I was four months pregnant because if you are going to have a miscarriage it’s usually in the first four months.

    i would wait until i had the second scan and then if you wanted to know the sex of the baby you could buy the outfit you wanted if you did not want to find out then you would only be able to buy neutral colours.i started to buy when i was about 7 months, and started with simple things like vests and blankets and baby grows, it is nice to know the sex so then you can buy the colours
